We invite anyone who is touched by the pain of the Holy Land and its people, and would like to be in a safer and creative space to come into contact with their feelings, thoughts, and embodied experiences. We also invite anyone curious to learn about tools that can be applied to psychedelic practices for sacred activism, peacebuilding and collective liberation.

The workshops will be held by Ripples – a non-profit that weaves peace activism, psychedelics, community-building, arts, and science – catalysing peacemaking communities. The instructors will include Palestinian and Israeli non-violent activists, artists, facilitators and heart-led humans who are working together in connection, strength and love to embody another possibility. These are Sulaiman Khatib (Palestinian peace activist from Ramallah), Haneen (Palestinian peace activist from Gaza/Portugal), Noam Enbar (Israeli singer/peace activist from Tel-Aviv-Jaffa), Marwan Halabi (Palestinian singer-songwriter from Haifa/Daliat el Carmel), Ayelet Yekutiel (Israeli dance artist / somatic practitioner from Jerusalem), Rawan (Palestinian Diaspora Singer/Songwriter, Facilitator & Artivist based in Jordan), and Leor Roseman (Israeli psychedelic researcher from London - University of Exeter / ex-Imperial College).

Schedule:

 8:00: Arrival

 9:00: Introduction to Ripples

Fadfada Storytelling workshop (Haneen, Ayelet & Souli)

11:00: Break

11:30: Grief ceremony  (Rawan, Haneen & Leor)

13:00: Light Lunch

14:30: The Liberated Voice (Noam & Marwan)

15:30: Sacred Activism – Tools and Methods (Souli & Rawan)

16:00: Break

17:00: Collective Storytelling Journey (Leor & Ayelet)

18:00: Closure

(Somatic Journeying is spread throughout the day, led by Ayelet)

Fadfada Storytelling Circle (Haneen, Ayelet & Souli):

Sharing circle to bring collective stories from the world about the current situation in the Holy Land. Through storytelling and performance, we will bring deep listening to people experiencing the reality of war in different forms, including international voices. We will witness each other and connect with open hearts. Accompanied by live music and open to what wants to emerge within the space.

Grief Ceremony (Rawan, Haneen & Leor):

A process for working with our collective grief, creating safety in the container and bravery in the being to allow emotions to arise, release and transform through a guided journey that starts by honoring our pain. We will feel, sing, alchemize and move with the grief inside us, between us, and around us.

The Liberated Voice (Noam & Marwan):

A participatory session led by Noam Enbar and Marwan Halabi—an invitation to tune into the voices in the room, to the raw, unfiltered sound that longs to emerge. Once the collective sound takes shape, Noam and Marwan will begin their unique cycle of Hebrew and Arabic songs. As the songs unfold, the two languages will meet—voices from across a divide—reaching toward one another with beauty, tenderness, and a shared longing to reconnect.

Sacred Activism: Tools and Methodologies (Souli & Rawan)

A practical session exploring tools and methodologies of bridging between the inner spiritual work and the outer expression of activism. For so long, these two worlds have been separate, with those who focus on their personal wellness bypassing their role in the world, and those on the front lines self-sacrificing and burning out - both of which perpetuate systems of oppression in one way or another. In this session, we will focus on bridging the gap, and exploring practical tools to take back into your own life, your community, psychedelic practices, society, and rippling out into the world at large.

Collective Storytelling Journey (Leor & Ayelet)

To close the day, we will gather all the emotions, stories and insights experienced throughout the day and fuse them into artistic spontaneous sharings. With the support of music and movement, we will enter a journey alchemising stories - collected through the day - into a breathing, dynamic, enchanted sharing session.

Somatic Journey - throughout the day (Ayelet)

The workshop will be interwoven with moments of somatic movement practices to support the group in regulation, presence, playfulness, expression and in staying embodied. The connection to movemnt, sensation and the physical body calls us back home to the here and now, brings vitality and resiliency, connects us to the very common ground of human experience- living in a body: that may support solidarity and give contrast to racism and de-humanisation, and awakens us to our interconectedness and interdependency. The body speaks in an international and cross-cultural language we all understand.

Diversity & Cultural Competency in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

Length

Full Day - Monday, June 16th

Facilitators

Monnica Williams, Ph.D.,Matthew Skinta, Ph.D.

Description

The importance of set and setting are widely acknowledged, though one facet has received less attention: that the broader setting of our psychedelic experiences is in a society and world with rampant anti-Black racism, homophobia and transphobia, and the pathologization of non-majority cultures.

Learn More

The mindset of those with marginalized identities is likewise infused with histories of rejection, bias, and harm. In order to be effective for meaningful healing and growth, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapists must recognize and invite in these sets and settings, and consider what a truly healing space will look like for those willing to be vulnerable with us.

Length

Half Day - Tuesday, June 17th

Facilitators

Veronica Magar, DrPH, MPH, MA

Description

Mental health conditions—including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders—pose a major challenge in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where conventional biomedical approaches often fail to account for cultural and community-specific needs. Integrating psychedelic-assisted therapies, mind-body practices, and community-based approaches—including traditional knowledge systems—offers new possibilities for accessible, inclusive mental health care.

Learn More

Despite their potential, these integrative approaches face obstacles: regulatory barriers, insufficient research, and limited practitioner training. This consultation aims to build the foundations for evidence-informed, community-grounded models that can be scaled across LMICs.The goal of this workshop is to bring together a focused group of researchers, policy leaders, program implementers, traditional knowledge holders, and donors to co-develop integrative and scalable mental health strategies for LMICs.It will convene subject matter experts for guided roundtable discussions about research, policy, and delivery of care to address challenges like suicide, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders in a way that is adaptable to local contexts around the world. This workshop is intended to spark a global network of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community members interested in mindfully incorporating scientific progress about psychedelics into efforts to improve global mental health for populations that are underserved by medical or mental health professionals.

3-Day - June 15th, 16th & 17th

Facilitators

The Grof Legacy Project, USA

Description

This highly experiential workshop offers both a theoretical and practical introduction to the  work of Stanislav Grof, whose groundbreaking research into the value of non-ordinary states of consciousness, including psychedelic experiences, remains a bulwark of psychedelics studies. Following the prohibition of using psychedelics in research in the 1970s, Stan and his late wife Christina Grof developed holotropic breathwork as a means of inviting non-ordinary states of consciousness through a combination of deep breathing, evocative music, careful attention to set and setting, and individual “energy release work” when appropriate.

Learn More

Supported by a team of experienced practitioners, this workshop offers both a “breathing” and “sitting” experience of Grof® Breathwork, the form of breathwork now practiced and taught internationally by Stan and his current wife Brigitte Grof under their umbrella organization Grof Legacy Training. Valuable as a training tool for supporting psychedelics experiences, Grof® Breathwork attends to careful preparation for experience; ethical, respectful and safe settings; the naturally therapeutic presence critical for effective sitting or guiding; and skillful guidance in the integrative process that follows deep experience.

We’re coming together across lines of denomination, lineage, politics, practice, gender, race,  and geography to ask:

       •      How is Jewish psychedelic community modeling healing, repair and depolarization?

Whether you’re working with psychedelics for healing, learning, prayer, or pleasure—or simply curious about what’s unfolding—you’re invited to bring your whole self to the circle. This workshop is intended for anyone who identifies as Jewish, and also welcomes those who don’t and who are curious about psychedelic Judaism.

This workshop will combine lecture style learning, somatic practices, and community and network building opportunities. We ask that all participants be aligned with our training values:

• We know that collective liberation is catalyzed by collective participation

• We seek to understand and to be understood

• We are open to feelings of discomfort in the learning and liberation process

• We value decolonization education as part of psychedelic harm-reduction

• We are committed to the personal decolonization process as the first step in collective liberation

• We respect the sacredness of all life

This workshop is organized by The Psychedelic Liberation Training, a Black-led psychedelic organization activating stewards of collective liberation with sacred earth medicines and ancestral reconnection. PLT engages at the intersection of healing, expanded consciousness, and social change through training, community circles, and embodied retreats.

Self and Sensory Experience in Psychedelic Therapies Exploring Growth Edges with Expanded Awareness in Psychedelics

Length

Half Day - Tuesday, June 17th

Facilitators

Bessel van der Kolk, M.D. and Licia Sky

Description

Trauma has a dramatic effect of constricting experience of self, and the world around us, as well as diminishing the vitality of physical, and sensory experience. Psychedelic journeys often profoundly mind-expanding, give us new insights into our selves, our emotions revealing not only the parts of ourselves that are already owned and acknowledged, but also parts that are currently hidden and disowned. .

Learn More

In the large MAPS-sponsored MDMA for chronic PTSD, study participants experienced a dramatic improvement in self-compassion, alexithymia, and a variety of measures of self-regulation and understanding the minds of others. Maybe the most surprising finding was that even people with life-long histories of abuse and neglect usually had dramatically positive outcomes. There is a tendency to attribute the healing solely to the medicine, but preparation, processing, and integration of these experiences are of vital importance for healing. In this work, the therapist’s role is to support the person's own inner-directed process

Attunement, setting, intention setting, and the integration process create the powerful container that makes deep psychedelic work possible. Awareness of our bodily sensations is an important key to restoring the ability and capacity to be aware in the present moment. It helps to bring awareness to sensations as medicine is taking effet during a psychedelic experience and can enhance trust to move inward.

In this workshop, we will review the research and also explore how our senses and orientations inform and determine our capacity to focus and respond effectively to what is inside and around us.
